Seaview Resthome Visit

Room 2 children entertained the elderly at Seaview Resthome on Tuesday 3rd December. The children played their ukeleles and sang a range of songs, some of which included waiata, Christmas songs, rocking favourites such as Locomotion and Y.M.C.A, as well as a kiwi favourite to finish on, Po karekare ana.

The children had the residents singing and toe tapping, with one or two strumming up their own tune on the ukelele afterwards. It was a great session enjoyed by all and the children have already been asked to come back again next year.
Several of the children had been to the resthome prior to our visit to see grandparents. What a lovely surprise it was for us to see Corbyn's grandad George who had come to visit Corbyn's great uncle Jimmy. Uncle Jimmy is very talented and played his own song on Soldier's ukelele. Thanks for the fun. See you next year!
