Pineapple Tasting - REAL Learning!
WOW! It's really cool at school when you get to learn about something and then eat it! Corbyn, Maddox and Soldier chose to research Pineapples so that they could grow some to have in their lunchbox. Through their research they found out that New Zealand is too cold to grow pineapples and mostly pineapples grow in countries that are closer to the equator where the temperatures are more tropical. So Mrs Ives bought us a pineapple and the Pineapple group used some knowledge of fractions to share it out with us. They presented their facts and then we were all able to taste it. Corbyn and Emma thought it smelt like a summer breeze. Finn thought it tasted like soda and Hazel said that it was soft and a bit sour. We love this REAL learning in Room 2!
